Privacy Policy

This policy explains what GE Uncut ("we", "the service") collects, why, and who it is shared with. GE Uncut is an unofficial, fan-made tool for tracking Old School RuneScape Grand Exchange prices; it works only with in-game data and in-game gold.

1. Information we collect

Account: your email address and a password; passwords are stored only as a one-way argon2id hash, never plain text. Sign in with Google (optional): Google shares your primary Google Account email address, basic profile information, and a Google account identifier; we use them only to create and sign you into your account, never for advertising. Your content: scan settings and the flips you track. Assistant messages: the questions you type to the in-app AI assistant. Technical & usage logs: standard server logs and cookies used to operate, debug, and secure the service; short-lived, not sold, and not used to build advertising profiles.

We never ask for, and you should not provide, payment details, real-world financial information, or your RuneScape account login.

2. How we use it

To run the price scan against your settings and track your flips; to authenticate you and keep your data scoped to your account; to answer your questions through the AI assistant; and to protect the service from automated abuse.

3. Third-party services

Google Sign-In authenticates you if you choose it. Google AdSense displays advertising and may set cookies to personalise ads; see Google's Privacy Policy and manage preferences at Google Ad Center. Cloudflare Turnstile is the privacy-friendly bot check at sign-in. OpenRouter generates the AI assistant's replies; see OpenRouter's Privacy Policy.

4. The AI assistant

When you chat with the assistant, the text you send and the recent conversation are transmitted to our model provider (OpenRouter) to generate a reply. Please do not share personal, sensitive, or real-world financial information in the chat.

5. Cookies

A required httpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in. Advertising cookies may be set by Google AdSense; you can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Center.

6. Data security

Passwords stored only as argon2id hashes; all traffic over HTTPS; httpOnly and Secure session cookie; rate limiting against automated abuse.

7. Your rights

You can access the data tied to your account and request deletion of your account and its data. Depending on where you live (for example the UK/EU under the GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or erase your data. Contact us to exercise them.

8. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active; deleted accounts have their settings and tracked flips removed. Operational logs are retained only briefly, then rotated out.

9. Children

GE Uncut is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

GE Uncut is an unofficial, fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Jagex Limited. RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are trademarks or registered trademarks of Jagex Limited; all in-game content is the intellectual property of Jagex Limited, used here for informational and reference purposes only. Price data comes from the Old School RuneScape Wiki real-time prices API. GE Uncut works only with in-game gold and does not facilitate real-world trading. See our Terms of Use.
