Compare OSRS items side by side
Put any Old School RuneScape items next to each other and see what actually decides a flip: live Grand Exchange buy and sell prices, the margin left after the 2% GE tax, daily volume, buy limits and recent price ranges. It is a side-by-side view for choosing which item to put your gold into next.
Why compare before you flip
Two items can show the same margin and still be completely different flips. One might trade tens of thousands a day and fill both sides in minutes; the other might move a handful of units and leave you holding gold you cannot get back out. Volume and buy limit decide how much profit a margin can actually turn into, and that gap is easiest to see when the items sit next to each other.
What the comparison shows
- Buy and sell price: the live insta-buy and insta-sell, so you can read the raw spread.
- Margin after tax: what is left once the 2% Grand Exchange tax comes off the sell.
- Daily volume: how much the item trades, which tells you whether both sides will fill.
- Buy limit: the cap on how many you can buy every 4 hours, which limits a flip no matter how good the margin looks.
- Recent range: where the price has been lately, so a spread is not just a momentary blip.
Reading it for a decision
A high margin on a low-volume item is often a trap: the profit per item is real, but you cannot buy enough or sell fast enough for it to matter. A thin margin on a high-volume item can beat it outright once you fill the full buy limit several times a day. Setting the two side by side is the quickest way to see which one your gold is better off in.
